You can access the new occasion view by tapping “+” in the contact list view.
Occasions are elements to structure your interactions with the people you meet or communicate, and you can also use them to create future reminders and appointments.
In this view you can create new occasions by entering the information you want and by tapping on “SAVE”. You can decide between a one time event and different repetition patterns and you can enter the basic information. There are also options to categories, rate and mark the occasion.

Please be aware: all details are saved when you press on “SAVE” there is no draft functionality.
While usually personal CRM system and phone book apps don’t come with a scheduler at all, ContactShip also provides features schedulers don’t have. To structure the occasions you can use ContactShip's rating system as well as several categories and the mark option.
While most system only use one time dimension ContactShip works with two. We distinguish between the occasion as the event itself and the interaction with the people you meet during the occasion. Therefore you can create multiple interactions per occasions with very specific details per person you communicated with.
Tap on the “arrow left” symbol to close the new occasion view and to return to the scheduler.
Tap on “SAVE” to save the occasion and to return to the scheduler.
Tap on “REPEATING” to display the recurring elements “recurring on” and “end recurring after”. Now you have access to all the options to create a repeating occasion. Tap on “ONCE” to enter the information for a single occasion and hide the “recurring on” and “end recurring after” field sections.
Tap on “info” to open the keyboard and to enter a name for the occasion. You can save the information about what type of occasion (phone call, meetup, etc.) y with the category and there is a location field to enter where you met. Results of the communication you should save with the interactions later on.
Tap on “Meetup” to open the category selector. Here you can choose which type of occasion it was. The category symbol will be displayed in the scheduler afterwards. Tap on a category to select it or tap on “CLOSE” to leave the selector without changing the category. You can also search for a category by tapping on “Search”. Categories are very good method to structure your data.
Tap the “rate” symbol to rate the occasion. You can choose between 5 ratings (green to red) or not rated (grey). Rating make it easier for you to have a fast overview of the occasions in your scheduler. You can point out which occasions you liked and which you didn’t in just two taps.
Tap on the box on the right to “mark” or “unmark” an occasion. With this feature you can point out the occasions you want to keep in focus.
Tap on “location” to open the keyboard and to enter a location for the occasion. For a phone call it could be the number you have called and for a chat the name of the channel.
Tap on the “date” displayed to open the selectors. Tap on the "year" to open the year selector. Tap left or right from "month" to change the month and tap on "day" to select the day. Tap on "OK" to confirm or tap on "CANCEL". In the next step you can select the hour, time and am/pm. Tap on "OK" to confirm or tap on "CANCEL". If the start time is behind the end time, the end time is changed automatically.

Tap on "OK" to confirm or tap on "CANCEL". In the next step you can select the hour, time and am/pm. Tap on "OK" to confirm or tap on "CANCEL". The end time can't be before the start time, therefore parts of the day and time selector will be blocked.
